ينطلق تعليم اللغة العربية  من خلال دراسة نصوص ووحدات دراسية مناسبة لمراحل النموّ العمرية في كل صف.  يتم استخدام البطاقات التي تعلّم الحروف والكلمات وإملائها  . كما  يتم التدرج حسب  تنمية الإدراك لدى الأطفال عبر عمليات المطابقة والتصنيف والتسلسل.
وبعبارة أخرى  يطبّق الأطفال القراءة والاستماع والكتابة والمحادثة عبر العمل اليدوي المتفاعل مع ممارسة العمليات العقلية.
هذه الوحدات تدمج اللغة مع  مادة العلوم وحقائق الحياة و قِيم التعامل والنظرة إلى الذات عبر مجموعة من الكراريس التي تفتح للأطفال أبواب الكتابة الإملائية والكتابة التعبيرية. يصاحب البرنامج مجموعة من القصص يختار الأطفال ما يحبون للقراءة ، ويُطلب منهم تحديد الشخصيات والمواقف وإعادة إنتاجها بالتمثيل والمسرحة. كما أنّ لنشاط العروض الفردية مساحة كبيرة خلال الفصل الدراسي يقدمها الأطفال بعد استخدام أدوات حسية وعقلية متنوعة.
وللخط العربي كشكل حسّي فني وجمالي دور القلب في تعلم مهارات المادة الحسّية . كما تأتي الكتابة التعبيرية في نهاية المرحلة كنتاج للمهارات الحسية من كتابة وإملاء وخط والمهارات  الفعلية من تصنيف ومطابقة واستنباط واستقراء ، وبذلك  تصبح اللغة وظيفية ذات علاقة تفاعلية مع الحياة والواقع .
يمضي الأطفال تسعون دقيقة يومياً في محطات برنامج تعلم القراءة والكتابة  الحِسّي الإدراكي.
مفاصل الكتابة التعبيرية :
 استخدام طُرُق متعددة في كتابة الجُمل .
 الإجابة في جملة تامّة.
 كتابة فكرة في فقرة.
 استخدام الأسلوب الوصفي في الكتابة.
 كتابة الرأي الخاص.
 مراعاة كتابة الموضوع : مقدمة وجسم وخاتمة.
 مراعاة تسلسل الأحداث.
 استخدام علامات الربط والترقيم.
وللأسرة دورة موصوف في قصص تختارها المدرسة يقرأها الأطفال بمساعدة الأُم أو الأب خلال أسبوع ويسجّل ولي الأمر الملاحظات والتغذية الراجعة في ورقة تطبيقية مصاحبة ثُمّ تستعيدها المدرسة في نهاية القصة للاستفادة منها

 

 

 Grade One:                          

 English:

 By the end of this grade, we expect our students to be able to:  

 

Reading
• Phonics
• Be able to read one syllable and High Frequency Words; common & irregular sight words; lesson vocabulary.
• Read aloud and identify important events.
• Comprehension.

 

Writing
• Write legibly using appropriate word and letter spacing
• Narrative and Descriptive writing, Expository writing
• Know the structure and parts of sentences
• Know different forms of nouns) and verb tenses.  To use adjectives.  To use pronouns correctly.
• Use punctuation correctly: period, exclamation point, question mark at end of sentence; possessive and contraction apostrophes, Capitalization.
• Spelling: spell common, phonetically regular words; frequently used, irregular words.

Speaking & Listening
• Listen to a variety of oral presentations for a purpose.
• Follow oral directions
• Participate in class discussions. 
• Respond to a variety of media and speakers.
• Speak clearly and audibly. Follow rules of conversation and stay on topic when speaking;
• Use descriptive words. Participate in classroom activities and discussions.

 

 

اللغة العربية في الصفوف 1-3 :

Math.
To strengthen childrens' learning strategies by providing a friendly and pleasant environment.
The curriculum for this academic year, that we have carefully selected, will reinforce the learning abilities of an elementary-aged student.
By the end of Grade One, students learn to understand and use the concept of ones and tens in the place value number system.  Students add and subtract small numbers with ease.  They measure with simple units and locate objects in space.  They describe data and analyze and solve simple problems.
Connections to real life are made with each focus unit. Students with particularly strong Math skills may also be challenged through small group work.

Grade Two :                   

English :

By the end of this grade, we expect our students to be able to:

Reading
• Phonics work.
• Be able to read aloud accurately and appropriate intonation and expression; Retell stories and ideas: sequence; summarize;
• Develop vocabulary.
• Comprehension and analysis of text.
• Locate, interpret and organize information.
• Know a variety of literary genres and their basic characteristics; distinguish between fantasy and realistic text.

Writing
• Be introduced to the writing process: prewriting, drafting, revising, proofreading, publishing;
• Narrative, Descriptive and Expository writing: Write legibly using appropriate word and letter spacing, indentation.
• Use abbreviations, contractions and punctuation correctly, capitalization.
• Spell common, phonetically regular words; frequently used, regular and irregular words.

Speaking & Listening
• Listen attentively and respond  to a variety of oral presentations and media;
• Paraphrase/summarize directions and information.
• Speak clearly and audibly, using appropriate volume and pace in different settings, staying on topic.
• Plan and present to class.

 

Math:
To strengthen childrens' learning strategies by providing a friendly and pleasant environment.
The curriculum for this academic year, that we have carefully selected, will reinforce the learning abilities of an elementary-aged student.
By the end of Grade Two, students understand place value and number relationships in addition and subtraction and they use simple concepts of multiplication.  They measure quantities with appropriate units.  They classify shapesand see relationships among them by paying attention to their geometric attributes.They collect and analyze data and verify the answers.
Connections to real life are made with each focus unit. Students with particularly strong Math skills may also be challenged through small group work.

 


Math.

By the end of Grade Three, students develop understandings of multiplication and division of whole numbers. They use properties to develop increasingly more sophisticated strategies to solve problems involving basic multiplication and division facts. They relate division to multiplication. Students understand fractions and its related topics. Students investigate, analyze, and classify two-dimensional shapes by their sides and angles.  They decompose, combine, and transform polygons to understand properties of two-dimensional space and use those properties to solve problems. Students construct and analyze frequency tables, bar graphs, picture graphs, and line plots and use them to solve problems.
Connections to real life are made with each focus unit. Students with particularly strong Math skills may also be challenged through small group work.

Grade Three:        
English :

By the end of this grade, we expect our students to be able to:
Reading
• Phonics
• Be able to read aloud correctly; retell stories and ideas: sequence; summarize.
• Comprehension and analysis of text.
• Research, organize, and interpret information.
• Know a variety of genres and their basic characteristics; distinguish between fantasy and realistic text.
• Read stories, identify important events; compare and contrast; characters, setting; theme; introduction to figurative language.
Writing
• Use the writing process: prewriting, drafting, revising, proofreading, publishing; evaluate and proofread their own writing; narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive writing.
• Be able to write different types of sentences.
• Know different forms of nouns and verbs and verb tenses; use adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, abbreviations and contractions correctly.
• Use punctuation correctly.
• Spell using a variety of strategies.
Speaking & Listening
• Distinguish between speaker’s opinions and verifiable fact; make inferences and draw conclusions.
• Paraphrase/summarize directions and information.
• Plan and present to class: narratives, descriptive, informational, persuasive, summaries, problems and solutions, etc.
